Who is the IELTS Preparation course material designed for?

What is the difference between the different courses available?
IELTS Preparation Course
The online IELTS Preparation Course is a complete IELTS preparation course. The course is divided into four interactive units. Each unit looks at a different part of the test: Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking. In each unit you will become familiar with the different tasks and exercises you will need to answer in the exam. You will learn how to best answer each exercise and develop exam techniques to do this effectively. You will prepare with self-correcting interactive exercises on the Net Languages language learning platform.
The IELTS Preparation course also includes access to a full IELTS practice test. This means you can practise doing the test as if it were the real exam. This will give you a realistic idea of the bandscore you would get.
You can choose between the self-study version of the course (Essential version), or, you can combine access to the self-study version of the course with the support of a personal, experienced IELTS tutor (Premium version). In the Premium version you will practise the different parts of the Speaking test with your tutor in live 25-minute speaking tutorials. You can book the tutorials on your tutor’s calendar at your convenience. You can also send your tutor the writing tasks for the Writing part of the exam. Your tutor will correct them, send you feedback and a bandscore.
The IELTS Preparation Course is available for people taking the Academic version of the exam and for people taking the General Training version of the exam.
IELTS Speaking Test Preparation Course
The IELTS Speaking Test Preparation course is designed for people who want to improve their bandscore in the Speaking part of the exam. In the course you will learn how to express yourself in an appropriate way in the three parts of the speaking test.
You will get access to 10 units of structured interactive exercises on the Net Languages language learning platform. This will include example videos and structured interactive exercises.
You can choose the self-study version of the course (Essential version) or, you can choose the Premium version and also practise the speaking tasks with your own personal IELTS tutor. The Premium version of the course includes a speaking tutorial at the end of each of the 10 units of the course. You can book the tutorials on your tutor’s calendar at your convenience.
The IELTS Speaking Preparation Course is suitable for people taking the Academic version of the exam and for people taking the General Training version of the exam.
IELTS Writing Test Preparation Course
The IELTS Writing Test Preparation course focuses on the Writing Test. It is ideal for people who need to get a better bandscore in the Writing part of the exam.
The course is divided into 10 units. The first 5 units work on the first task of the Writing Test and the units 6 to 10 focus on the second task. You will have access to model texts, interactive exercises and a series of tips which will help you structure and write great texts for the tasks.
You can decide to follow the self-study version of the course (Essential version) or you can combine the self-study version with the support of an IELTS tutor (Premium version). In the Premium version you can send your writing tasks to an IELTS tutor for their correction and feedback. There are 10 writing tasks to send to your tutor in the Premium version of the course.
The IELTS Writing Preparation Course is suitable for people taking the Academic version of the exam.
IELTS Practice Tests
Do you want the experience of practising taking an IELTS exam before the real exam? Do you want to know what your bandscore you will probably be in the real IELTS exam?
The online IELTS Practice tests will do just this. You can choose between the self-study version of the exam (Essential version) or the self-study with tutor support for the Writing and Speaking parts of the exam (Premium version) for a complete experience of all four parts of the exam.
The IELTS Practice Tests are available for people taking the Academic version of the exam and for people taking the General Training version of the exam.
What level is the course?
The IELTS Preparation course material is designed for students who have between a B2 and C1 level of English.
How many study hours do the levels include?
The IELTS Preparation course includes approximately 30 hours of study material
The IELTS Speaking Test Preparation course includes approximately 25 hours of study material.
The IELTS Writing Test Preparation course includes approximately 25 hours of study material.
Each IELTS Practice Test contains about 3.5 hours of study material.
